J.R. De Ford

Award-winning Melbourne based indie filmmaker J.R. De Ford’s recent stint includes shooting and producing Soul Prison, a Thai feature film which has been picked for distribution in the US and has screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

As a filmmaker, he is passionate about pushing culture and diversity at the forefront. For example, his sci-fi series, Gold from the Sky, sheds light on the plight of migrants and refugees in a dystopian world.
