Writer Melinda Burtenshaw graduated at the University of New Castle with an Honours Degree in Performance/Literature/Creative Arts and a Diploma in Education. During her time, she experimented with film and performance.

Her passionate for culture and social change, led her to establish her own film company, Films4Change.
